My school gives out A+ if you get 90% or above.

Sounds like heaven? Good luck hitting even 80% at my undergrad institution. We got the worst GPA deflation system in all of North America.

HAHAHA...hey there. I somehow guessed you were referring to UofT even before I checked your profile. Terrible, ain't it. ;)
Where are all the 4.1+ Canadian applicants attending, then?

I always thought my school with A being the top grade was the exception.

ITT: We need a waaambulance.

Suck it up guys and gals.

And there is a grade distribution for your UG that is sent on your LSDAS report, so the adcoms can tell whether your institution hands out A+ grades like candy or has deflated grades. Guess what? Thanks to the magic of USNWR, they don't really care.

There is no A+ at my school but there are A-. Some professors don't use +/- and do straight abc. I have a 3.877 ugpa and my lsac is 3.87, although i'm not sure if the calculator just rounded to the nearest hundreth or it was just even.

My school doesn't give A+ either. I'm pretty sure this is the overall norm so I wouldn't stress too much. It sucks that some people benefit more than others but such is life.

Did you really bump a 4-month-old thread? Anyway, LSAC rounds to the nearest hundredth, so maybe it was a "3.67/3.33 vs 3.7/3.3" or quarter-to-semester rounding issue.

It will be super-obvious to law schools that your UG didn't have A+. Your transcript analysis will also show how your grades stacked up against other LSAC registrants who attended your UG school around the same time. Calm down, they don't expect you to earn a GPA that isn't even POSSIBLE at your school.

Haha, I spotted a fellow U of Ter from this comment alone as well. Want to hear something that will really ruin your day? Apparently over the next 3 years or so they are going to begin inflating grades because they are finding their graduates are not competitive in professional/ graduate school admissions, especially in the states. Yup, just as we leave. In the future we won't even get the benefit of having pulled off a "good" GPA at a notoriously hard school, as mean GPA will soon be the same as elsewhere.

I'm lucky. My school does A+/A- grades and considering I have 5 of them (and possibly one more this quarter, considering I got 106/100 on my final exam) I'm expecting a significant boost. According to the calculators online with the A+'s added in I have a 3.89.
