Ok, so I'm in a business program and originally was going for finance major, until I firmly decided on law school. Once decided I switched major to marketing. From what I know, schools could not care less what you've majored in, they need NUMBERS. This seems to be contrary to when Ken was saying. He might have more inside knowledge and perhaps knows more than I do, but at any rate, I'm completely certain that finance would bring my gpa much lower. If I end up with 3.3 instead of possible 3.7, I'd choose the latter any day, regardless of what the adcomms will think. Besides, who knows how they even compare the two? For all I know they may look at both majors exactly the same.
