Late GRE Scores - Will they affect my chances?

Post by bravolo10 » Wed Mar 01, 2023 12:06 pm

I submitted my application to UT law Jan 28 (deadline March 1) but was informed that my LSAT scores were too old. Consequently, I had to take the GRE on Feb 27, so my scores will arrive at UT after the March 1 deadline. They will accept the scores but will this greatly impact my chances of getting in?

In my experience, a "late" submitted GRE or LSAT does not adversely affect the applicant's chance of admission if the applicant is otherwise an exceptional candidate, meaning excellent undergraduate GPA with an interesting resume, or better yet a graduate degree from a world class graduate program. These credentials are very rare and may not apply to you.
