I'm graduating in May. Can I apply to LLM in Taxation without having taken any tax courses during JD?

You can, but I doubt it would go well. Why would you want to do that?

How would you even know you like tax? I think most programs require you to have at least taken tax 1.

I think you can do it and it's totally fine. I took only one income tax class in law school, and I doubt that mattered at all.

I don't think you'd want to get an LLM without a tax background, I think you'd have a very tough time landing a job on graduation.

You'd have a hard time getting in and all the classes assume you took at least basic fed and probably partnership and/or corporate.
