Iowa vs Howard

Have a friend weighing these two options for law school, they want to do big law. Their gpa + lsat will get them into those 2 schools. They also have Houston, Southern Methodist [Dedman] and Florida State as other realistic options but they won't get much better than that.

Improving their LSAT is not an option and their GPA is locked in.

Which school should they go to and why?

Where do they want to practice? I'd personally pick either Howard, SMU, or Houston, depending on location and expenses for attendance.

If they want to practice in NYC I'd suggest only Howard on that list. No other school has even a slight placement into NYC. I'd also urge your friend to look at Fordham, or go on a scholarship to St. John or Cardoza.

For big law in NYC, frankly none of the listed schools are compatible with those employment goals. Howard has a slight chance, but it is small.
