Old Letters of Recommendation

Post by alchan__ » Mon Aug 15, 2022 1:24 pm

Is there a preference by law schools, particularly t-14 schools, between old letters of recommendation (written 5+ years ago) or new ones for applicants that have been out of school longer than most?

I was originally going to attend law school right after undergrad, and at that time, had professors write letters of recommendations. They're already saved in my LSAC profile.

Now I'm planning on applying again, and I'm wondering if I should submit the letters that were written in 2016 or if I should ask my professors again to write new letters. I'm leaning towards submitting the old ones, since they were written closer to when I was last a student, but ultimately curious what others think.
