Less than full-time in UG Junior & Senior Year - T14

Post by mailtojunkr » Sun Jun 12, 2022 3:58 am

Greetings all.

I am attending a T20 undergrad and had several AP as well as Community college credits transferred in to my UG program. As a result, I now only need to take two classes/qtr (8 units) instead of full time 12+ units throughout my Junior and Senior year. I am not on financial aid, so no impact there.

My GPA is 4.0 unweighted and I am hopefully at 172+ for LSAT.

I am not interested in a dual major/minor and would rather take part-time load of only 2 classes for next two years and use the extra time for Business Frat. and other experiential things that I missed out during my freshman year due to remote classes during Covid. For the same reason I do not wish to pack more classes and try to graduate early in 3 or 3.5 yrs.

Will it hurt my T14 chances if I take only two classes per qtr (which is a part-time load) in my junior and senior years for UG as long as I maintain close to 4.0 unweighted GPA?

Should I explain anything about this in the application?

Thanks for your insights.

This won't affect your app. Only your cumulative LSAC GPA matters.
