VLS Enrollment Response Question

Post by candleash » Thu Mar 03, 2022 5:48 pm

Hi, I was lucky enough to get into Vanderbilt Law but have a couple of other law schools I am waitlisted by that I want to wait on. From what I understand the 1st deposit for most law schools is soft, aka you can deposit to other schools and later tell them you would like to attend elsewhere.

I foumd VLS had a bit different of a system, namely they want you to send in their Enrollment Response Form and Scholarship Acceptance Forms along with the first deposit. I was wondering if this was binding (aka can I back off from enrollment) and if I could put in 1st deposits elsewhere?

Thank you!

It's hard to know for sure without reading Vanderbilt's actual language, but every acceptance form I've seen is worded such that you have to withdraw any outstanding applications but are able to remain on waitlists.
