UIUC grad here. You can definitely get into BigLaw in Chicago from UIUC (other cities too, but that is tougher). I did it and so did plenty of my classmates. Of course, you need to do well in law school. UIUC is an excellent choice, particularly if you are there on scholarship!

UIUC is a great option if you want to work in Chicago/its metropolitan area--especially at that rate, which, I assume, is largely predicated upon your superior academic credentials. You should fare well and will likely walk away with the same salary as someone attending Northwestern with far less debt. I would be very happy if I were you!
