Part Time Law

Curious if anyone else is applying to schools Part-Time? For background, my law school is entirely paid for by a family member, and I work from home mostly, at a job which pays well and isn't incredibly demanding. The reason I cannot go full time is because I have a family, and do not want to take out loans for cost of living. My goal is not to go into BL but to be a criminal defense attorney and I know I have some tough sledding ahead to make that happen and do not feel comfortable in this job market letting go of my "safety net". Looking for anyone in similar shoes, or if anyone has any advice?
