Quick question. Why don’t people like generous curves. Doesn’t that mean you need less correct answers to receive your intended score? Also don’t harder tests get more better curves ?

Generous curves mean more people at the top, which means more competition for admissions (i.e. it's a lot easier to get in with a 173 when it's the 99th percentile than when it's the 97th).
