Career advice needed – arbitration – international student

Hi,
If I am a law graduate from a European university, seeking employment in BigLaw in international arbitration (or in litigation more broadly), what seems wiser:
1. JD from T14 (3 more years studying law, $$$)
2. LLM from T14? (1 year, $)
I'm aware that for most international students the JD gives a better shot in the US. But the LLM programs normally offer the same classes and I could take all classes related to my practice area in one year. So I think it makes little sense to spend additional 2 years of life and more $$$. But I'm curious of your opinion.
Thanks
