Google Search History affect my admissions?

When I was a stupid undergraduate about eight years ago, I made some stupid comments publicly that show up on Google because someone shared them. They were not offensive remarks, but they look bad on my character. The comments were shared by a news agency. Will the law schools I apply to factor this into my admission?

I scored high on my LSAT (164) and have a decent GPA, but I am worried about the admissions process. I have no issue with explaining it, and even though they are on the second page of Google, I am concerned the explanation that I was "young and dumb" will be ignored.

In general, your LSAT and GPA are going to be far more determinative of your results.

But yes, it's possible that an adcomm Googles you and finds the dumb comments. Without knowing exactly what the comments were or what made them bad (but apparently not offensive?), it's impossible to gauge the possible effect on your application. So can you provide a slightly better description of what you said and where it was reported?

0% chance an adcomm Googles you and goes to the second page.

Anything is possible.

How bad were the comments ? I ask because even if the preserved comments do not affect law school admissions chances, they may be the subject of a character & fitness state bar inquiry.
