I appiled back on the october 7, essentially the beginning of apllication acceptance, I have not heard a peep, it still just shows file is under review when i check the status online. Is this normal? How long would expect to wait? Also how tough would it be to get big law in MI preferably the detroit area after law school? I have an EET degree and I plan on taking the patent bar soon. My expereince is in hybrid battery technology, computer networking/voice, and wireless technology. I also have an interest/small experience in cyber security from working for the government for a year.

It sounds normal, but it depends entirely on that school's timeline.

As to your other question: It would be very, very tough to get biglaw from Wayne State, and equally difficult to get competitive federal government work. If those are your goals, you should not be going to Wayne State.

Ok. If you want biglaw, don't go to Wayne State.

It’s so unlikely to get biglaw from Wayne State, I would say it’s impossible.

Look at all the data and charts on law school transarwncy

Even locally? I see the data, it's just that i have seen a few local big firms hire wayne grads, but yeah it seems to be a long shot.

What were their grades? Did they have an connections to those firms?

It's not technically impossible, but when a school averages 10% biglaw placement, it's a bad bet. If your goal is biglaw, you should go to a much, much better school (which likely means retaking the LSAT).
