Hi. I got a 178 lsat and a 3.8 gpa. Weak/ nonexistent softs. Been out of undergrad for a couple years. Where exactly/ how many applications should I send out? Don’t want to be wasting money here overapplying... Thanks in advance.

Blanket the T13. If application fees are a major concern, eliminate Yale and Stanford - unlikely you'd get into either with weak/no softs.

With those numbers, good chance you'll get into at least some of the T6 and at least some $ at the lower T13.

If you're looking for scholarships then apply across the T13. Even if you're not interested in Cornell or Duke, for example, you can still use their scholarship offers to negotiate with other schools.

If you don't have a fee waiver, call the admissions office with a prepared spiel about why you're interested in their school and, for 7-14 why you'd still go there over on of the T-6 if the offer was right. Say you are stretched financially and ask for a waiver.

Full tuition with a COL stipend in the lower T-14 might be more attractive that close to full tuition at the top of the table.
