Top Law Schools

It seems like the consensus on TLS is that writing a "Why X" addendum is fairly important for an application to schools like Duke, UVA, Mich, etc. However, as a somewhat mediocre writer, I feel like this optional essay would be the weakest part of my application. While there are a few reasons I would really like to attend each school, I don't think I can convey them very strongly in a "Why X" essay. I do have a few lines in each of my personal statements outlining why I want to attend the respective school.

With stats around median, would you recommend still writing a half to full page 'Why X" in my case or just leaving it out altogether? Thanks in advance!
