I applied mostly to lesser T14 schools (not HYS), and a few safety schools across the rankings spectrum. I submitted my apps (a little over a dozen) between the 8th and 15th of December, and they all went complete mostly immediately. How long should I have to wait before I start hearing back? Is is reasonable to check the status checkers every day? Thanks!

You could have decisions start trickling in as early as next week, but it could be well into February and March depending on the school.

Check status as often as you want, but if it doesn’t change by Friday, take a break for the weekend.
