They're traditionally very unfriendly to splitters in general and almost completely closed to sub-3.0 GPAs. Now I see a 170/2.9 and a 175/2.8. Are they gunning to increase that LSAT median?

The other applied ED and Penn does appear to have admitted a few sub 3.00 people last cycle so hardly a new pattern: http://penn.lawschoolnumbers.com/stats/1718. They are probably no doubt trying to increase their score, like all top schools this cycle, because of the applicant data that Spivey has commented on, but there's not much in this dataset to suggest that.

Is Penn really unfriendly to splitters? their 25ths are 163 and 3.54, and IIRC, I saw a bunch of splitters get admitted last cycle when I was in the Penn 2020 applicants thread. pretty sure the only reason their medians are that high is because they admit splitters.
