Haha by not turning in some HWs. Or submit late assignment to make sure I get some points taken off.

Anything over 93 is an A at my school, and usually over 97 or 98 for A+.

Do you get an A+ in every single class? If not, how can you be so sure that your missing/late HW submissions wouldn't result in a grade lower than an A? What if you performed worse than you expected on your final exam or paper?

Even if your "try not to get an A+" strategy made sense (which it does not), it seems like it would be risky.

I read your post like six times trying to figure out how you thought it would be a good idea to purposely get a lower grade in a class... That will literally never be a good idea.

Side note: "Barely over a 3.9" is not "way under a 4.0"

Yes.. it would be a pretty risky move, that's why I asked in this forum to make sure that it's worth the risk. If anything, I would've shoot for 95-96 range just to be safe - I understand that the priority is getting something higher than 93. And going below 97 comes after the first priority.
However, judging by you all's comments, it looks like this was not a good strategy to begin with.

Also.. yes, I understand that 'barely over 3.9' is not wayyy under 4.0 in strict quantitative sense.
However, I felt like going over that 4.0 GPA threshold has certain psychological value. And with a 4.0, you would normally expect to see straight As. But, I guess such typical assumption doesn't apply to law school apps.

I give you credit for sticking with this thread when the gang (myself included) was beating up on you a bit. Congrats on your stellar GPA.

You should make sure your lsat isn't too high while you're at it.

Get a gentleman's 173. Only losers get 174+.
