So how long do LSAT scores last? because I took the LSAT on a whim June 2012 and i didnt like my score. I'm hoping this can disappear before I apply 2017-2018 cycle.

Scores are good for 5 years, but schools only care about your highest score.

But some schools average.

JFC, is there something in the air this year?
Yale
might average. Maybe. It is literally the only place where that has been observed, and the data is spotty.

So if I apply January 2018, will my June 2012 score still count?

No, and your June 2012 score is no longer valid now. And, most importantly,
no one will care about your prior score even if they see it. Stop trying to invent problems for yourself to stress out over.

But this says youre wrong:
https://www.lsac.org/jd/help/faqs-lsat
LSAC will automatically report the results of all LSATs in your file, including cancellations and absences, since June 1, 2012. The scores are averaged and are also listed separately.

Schools don't care about the average. They only care about the highest. Just because LSAC reports an average doesn't mean schools care about it. (They used to, back when USNWR took average scores. Now USNWR only uses the highest score for the rankings, so that's all schools care about.)
Besides, a score from 5 years ago isn't going to mean anything compared to a recent score.

Holy fuck.
The FAQs are likely still not updated to reflect that they're approaching the September LSAT. Your score is only good for five years. June, 2012 was more than five years ago.
And for the last fucking time, it doesn't matter. It didn't matter for the five years before this, and it will not matter for the next five years. Not one fucking person cares about anything other than your highest score. It. Doesn't. Matter.

Only your highest scores matter. OP you are worrying about something that doesn't impact you at all. What's your gpa and lsat score now anyway? If its too low, it may be in your best interest to skip law school anyway.
