2 or 3 page PS to Berkeley

is it unwise to not take full advantage of the 4-page limit? i have a 2-page PS that I'm pretty proud of, and while there are a few things that I cut out for length during edits that I'll add back in, i just don't see the point in extending it to 4 pages when it's not necessary.

Your instinct is right. For Berkeley, it might serve you to include a "why Berkeley" aspect in the PS if it makes sense, but there isn't a great reason to arbitrarily extend your PS if it will be forced. For instance, when I applied to Berkeley, I included an additional component about an area of law that interested me and a professor I would like to study with, but that pushed my otherwise normal 2 page PS to 3 pages.
