Columbia Informal Session, a good sign or nothing?

I received an email from Columbia inviting me to an informal session taking place August 11. Is this a positive sign or simply a mass email through LSAC's CRS? Hoping it's the former but not sure. My numbers are in the 25th percentile LSAT and slightly above the 75th percentile gpa FWIW.

I am interested in this topic as well. I mean, it's an in person invitation so I'm hoping they wouldn't want people with no chance of admittance going all the way to the school lol kind of annoyed though cause I have work and don't know if I can go

I don't specifically know what the Columbia event is, but these things are generally pretty unimportant to the process. And they usually send the invitations to a wide range of people, kind of like fee waivers. It's not a sign that you're a real contender for admission.

Again, not sure if Columbia is totally different, but I've never heard of one of these being useful/important.
