Academic Forgiveness ??

Post by bobbyd007 » Thu Jul 20, 2017 2:41 pm

My school allows me to forgive 1 semester of grades. I currently have a 2.95 GPA and if the semester gets forgiven I will have a 3.133. Is it worth it? Wont the schools I apply to still see the grades?
Thanks

It really depends on what "forgiveness" means. If it's just a formality for the school so they ignore a semester, then it's not going to matter for LSAC calculations. If it retroactively grants you non-punitive withdrawals in those classes, then it will change your LSAC GPA, which makes a big difference for law school applications.
