I just got 173 LSAT for the second time, first time last June while still in UG. 3.8 GPA average softs. Will have 1 yr work exp. Luckily, family able to pay sticker. Looking for the best school I can get. PI interest, no Big law. Should I re-take in Sept before applying to Harvard? Usually PT 174-177. made a stupid error this test. RC -1 LG -2 LR -3. Would re-take hurt or help? Thanks in advance.

Yes absolutely. Worst case you go down a couple points. Best case you bump up to at or above their 75th, which could make the difference. I'd say right now you're sitting at a 50/50 shot just looking at the numbers.

+1
Two more points and your chances increase substantially.

Appreciate the help, am going to register for Sept. Does anyone think that multiple takes look bad on apps when score is in the same band? I know it will probably cause me to get YP at lower T 14, I would expect that, I just don't want to look like a tool to the rest. Damn that curve.
