Top Law Schools

Quick question:

I graduated a few days ago and plan on taking two years off before law school (going to work). I'm going to apply next September (2018) and hope to begin law school Fall 2019. Is it too early to ask for recommendation letters now? If I got the letters now, they'd be a little over a year old when they're read by admissions committees. Is this a bad thing?

Go ahead and ask for them now. It'll probably be more beneficial as the professor is more likely to write something meaningful because they actually remember who you are. Letters of rec can sit in your LSAC profile for as long as you have it. But you should also get a letter of rec when the time comes from your employer just to cover that time gap.
