Predictions for GRE/LSAT

Post by chicagoburger » Wed Mar 15, 2017 11:49 am

1. It's a competition between ETS and LSAC. LSAC will aggressively push back this GRE invasion.
Prediction: LSAT test will be provided more than 4 times a year in 2018 at a cheaper price. It will be computerized by 2020.

2. It only took 2-3 years for 50% of the top 100 B-schools to accept GRE. We should see waves of schools following suit, especially the lower ranked schools.
Prediction: 50% of top 100 law schools will take GRE by 2019.

3. B-school ranking didn't count GMAT until like around 2013. Therefore, the first movers enjoyed gaming the ranking system for over 4-5 years. The delay being a) they had to find a conversion table, which took time. b) not enough % students take GRE even though half schools already accepted them.
Prediction: law schools will have at least 3 years to game the system. GRE score will be included in the ranking around 2020.

Dunno why I'm substantively responding, but aren't the GRE and GMAT structured similarly? (thus, it kinda made sense that bschools started to accept the GRE). The LSAT isn't like the GRE.
