When does a LoR become silly?

Shooting to try to get into HYS this upcoming cycle and had an LoR question. Is it a bad idea to get a LoR from a study abroad teacher? Received an A+ in his class, and although it is from a program, the credits are backed by an accredited program. He has a master's degree I believe, but is not shooting for a pHD. Will Yale in particular be turned off? Thanks in advance.

Doesn't matter who writes your LOR. It could even be a TA. As long as the person knows you well and can write favorably on your behalf, it's fair game

I believe this is an easy question to answer if you read Asha's blog. I am not pointing you to the answer and not telling you the answer so you learn to find shit for yourself, I am just pointing you to the answer and not telling you the answer because I don't know the answer!
If you're shooting for Y, you should probably just start reading through that whole blog! will probably be pretty helpful. good luck.
