Scholarship grade change

hi,
I had a school email me and say they changed the good standing requirement and that instead of a 76 it was now a 78 for the incoming 2017 class. Has anyone ever had this happen? This seems so unethical..........

Well, what's their median?
If you don't out the school, it's hard to tell if this is just an arbitrary number shift or if this actually screws students out of their scholarships. It's not like anyone can tell who you are from your post history on here (you haven't put up any identifying info in the past).

Just to clarify..."Good standing" means only that you passed, i.e. didn't flunk out. So if the school raised the GPA needed to stay enrolled at the school, then that's not really that big of a change since, you know, you won't keep your scholarship if you flunk out, anyway.
Not many schools use a numerical scale like that, but even assuming it's out of 100, 78 seems like a really high cut-off for passing though, so I'm guessing they're requiring you to be above around the the bottom 25% for renewal?
