Hello y'all,
I applied this cycle, and if I don't get in anywhere, I'm going to retake LSAT and reapply. Initial score was 169, I was testing at 172. For those who have done retakes: any crucial advice? I'm debating between a June or Sept retake - obvs Sept gives me more time to study, but June builds in a safety net. Also, for reapplying, any necessary advice? I'm limiting my schools, because at this point I want to stay in NYCish area and do a T6 school - is there any harm in reapplying?

Once you are comfortably in the 170s, I would really focus on why incorrect answers are wrong (especially for the questions you get wrong).
Getting to 175+ in my mind is eliminating mistakes/concentration errors after you build a solid foundation. In LR and RC, you can begin to see why incorrect answers are wrong and the characteristics of incorrect answers (different for each question type)
Went -0 in LG on my first take, and still was able to improve in LG. On my retake, I finished the section with 5 minutes to spare because I had watched videos on youtube for people walking through tougher games, and learned new diagramming strategies and also approaches.
first take: 173
pending on a retake myself
Good luck

+1 on retaking tips. Regarding reapplying, write a new (better) PS and update your resume. Take in June if you feel ready (second take)? And Sep if you need to push-back/retake again. If you take in June and are happy with your score, have your apps ready for day 1. If you take in Sep, just be ready to submit your apps when your score comes back and you will still be very early. Also limiting your apps is fine but I would say apply to the lower 14 as well bc it will always be worth it to have the options/negotiations and I'm assuming you will have fee waivers for most if not all of them.
(Retook and reapplied myself, very happy with my outcome)
