What are the grades? Going 140 - 165/167/170 is a lot different than going 165/6/7/8
That is a lot of scores, and if there is a wide variation in scores then it may actually be a good idea to explain the variation. (Especially if you have scores going down after they go up by more than 3 or 4 points between takes - like going 140 - 165 - 158 - 168.)

I wouldn't. The explanation is just going to be that you studied harder/finally didn't fuck up.

I think you really only need to submit an addendum when there is like a significant jump. I have always been under the impression that you never want to leave an admission officer with questions so they can make assumptions. But again that is just my opinion.
