Pending Charge

Post by jjj003 » Tue Jan 10, 2017 12:10 pm

Has anyone here ever heard of anyone getting into law school with a pending charge. It happened on NYE. The charge is said to take about six months to completely file. I know that I will be able to take a adult class for expungement as it is my first run in with the law as an adult. My lawyer told me this. I was not operating a vehicle or anything.

The pending charge is small possession of marijuana and paraphernalia (pipe). I was in passenger seat of my friends car and it was on my side so I got stuck with it. Trying to get the kid to take the charge because he should but I don't know I want to apply like right now because every day I wait the outlook becomes bleaker.

It may have an effect on your applications, but it doesn't kill your chances. Talk to your attorney.
