The waiting game: when can I expect to hear back??

I just submitted all my apps 2 days and am eagerly wondering when I can expect to hear back. Will I get an answer faster from schools for which my numbers are high? I'm curious because I would potentially like to visit schools where I get accepted, and want to be able to plan when I could do that. I only applied to T-14 by the way...

I hate to break it to you, but you have some time yet to go. You can check out the acceptances forum for more information about specific past timelines. A lot depends on what schools, specifically, you're talking about. I believe conventional wisdom is that high scorers do hear back more quickly, although that's also dependent on your idea of a "high scorer" (i.e. if you're above both 75ths, yes, it'll probably be a quicker decision). Although I've heard of quicker turnarounds, it seems like 4-6 weeks is pretty standard for the short end at a T14.
FWIW, I applied in the first week of December. I've heard from UVA and interviewed with Harvard so far; radio silence everywhere else.
