Question on Character and Fitness questions

I got two F's and was put on academic probation, had to write a letter to the Dean to go back next term. Does this count as disciplinary action? Some apps have separate questions asking about academic sanctions, to which I respond yes. Just wondering... Thanks.

I don't think academic probation counts as a disciplinary probation, because it's not related to your violating any school codes.

Academic probation is on some bar applications fwiw. If you don't disclose it on your law school app it really shouldn't be from a judgment call.

I've noticed a lot of apps specifically include academic probation in C&F. Rule of thumb is to always disclose/say yes if there's any doubt and write an addendum. Academic probation (if you subsequently fixed the issue and did better) isn't going to hold you back.

Disclose it. Including more than necessary in your responses is good practice for your first-year exams!

Yes I agree. I have a GPA addendum that I'm submitting to all schools. Just wondering how to answer the questions properly. Appreciate the help.

Just to clarify, I was not advocating not disclosing. I was just agreeing with the OP that this didn't seem to be the right section for the disclosure. A separate addendum would be more than sufficient.
