I finally got 1 professor to agree to write me a Letter of Recommendation.
Could someone please lay out my next steps for me, numbering them? I believe I need to make some kind of LSAC account, click some button that sends the professor an email w/ instructions, and then he will type it in and save it to my account for me to use whenever I apply to law school?
Could you please provide me links to the correct sites so I don't get paranoid about whether I'm fucking everything up.
official stationery not needed?
Also, since I'm applying next year after I take the LSAT the upcoming September, when is the deadline for getting the LOR in? My professor needs to know b/c he's in another country for awhile.

well, you just go to
http://lsac.org, make your account if you haven't, when it's all set up and ready to go then at the top you should see "apply", it will bring down a drop down list and you go to credentials then to letters of rec. there you just add a recommender.
after you put in all the info they ask you for from the recommender, choose to send that info to your recommender via email, then they should get it and it's all them from there..

Thank you. The entire letter is typed, right? There is no need for any hand writing or official stationery? He just types it in his computer and saves it to the system?

Yes, just the typing of the letter.

He doesn't type it into the LSAC site. He uploads a file containing the letter to the LSAC site after you generate an email to him from your LSAC acccount. He can also print and mail it, with an LSAC form that you provide.
Letterhead (official stationery) is recommended but not required.
