Top Law Schools

I saw a similar thread like this posted a few years ago when I did a google search, and wanted to get some opinions.

I will apply to law school next application cycle, so I have some time. In my senior year of high school (2014), I took post secondary classes online through a local community college. I had a 4.0 in all of the classes I had taken previously through this institution, but in this class I misread the syllabus and was not able to turn in my final paper on time, or take my final exam. The professor would accept neither and it dropped me from a 95% in the class to a D. Following graduation of high school, I continued my education at a local major public university where I retook the class and got a 100%. Which that was great and all, but the D still haunts me. It puts me in the area of instead of having a 3.94 LSDAS GPA, I have a 3.86. Is there any way I could get this taken off? I also saw that some had mentioned in the previous thread that because it was a D I could potentially get them to change it to a CR grade instead. I have 0 W's on my record, and this is my only blemish as I have been a Dean's List student every semester in college.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You need to petition the school that assigned the D grade and hope for the best. But since this isn't a case of you forgetting to withdraw from a class, I wouldn't hold your breath.

How would I go forward doing that?

I'm in a very similar situation, except mine was from 10th grade Spanish. It dropped my LSAC GPA significantly and unfortunately there was nothing LSAC or the CC could do. I wrote an addendum and I'm hoping for the best.

I have considered doing this as well. It's so frustrating that mistakes as high schoolers can have such an impact after working so hard through college. However, you live and you learn.

You have to contact the college and ask them what their procedures are.
