International Law on PS

So I'm wondering how naive it looks to write that I want to go into international law on a personal statement. I know this is the typical thing people coming out of international relations are interested in, or write that they're interested in, and that "international law" is more of a pipe dream.
I also don't even really know if this is what I'm interested in, but I feel like if I don't write this then my reasons for going into law aren't as strong.
My situation is that I've lived most of my adult life in Europe, speak two European languages fluently, have worked for multiple years abroad, and am now returning to the States for law school. So I do have legitimate interest in international work, but am more going into law because I have family who are lawyers and it's always been a field that interests me. Would it also work just to write that as someone who studied international relations/politics, I became interested in how the law affects both domestic as well as international decisions? Or something along those lines...
