Top Law Schools

Hi all!

I'm getting responses back now from law schools and I was recently admitted to BU, Cardozo and a few others. I was wondering when I would hear back from them regarding if I was awarded any scholarship money. I've never filled out a FAFSA in my life (I went to a cheap city undergrad), nor have I ever filled out any other financial forms. So my questions really are:
When should I expect to hear back from them?
Are there any forms I should be filling out?
Is there anything else I should actively do, or just wait?

It somewhat varies, but if it's merit based aid you're looking for, they generally give you that when you're admitted. Need-based will require you to file FAFSA, etc. Then there is the issue of negotiating aid, which will come when you have competitive offers from peer schools.

But I can't know that until I know how much aid they'll give me!

could do it as soon as you finish your taxes since you already have all that info on hand. That's when I will do mine.

Actually, if you plan on applying for need-based aid anywhere (not a bad idea, generally speaking), then you want to fill out your FAFSA and Need Access forms ASAP and send them to any schools that you have been accepted to and are considering attending.
