Feb LSAT too late for splitters?

Hey TLSers!

Curious if taking the February LSAT is too late in the application cycle, especially for a splitter candidate. For reference, I'm a non-traditional applicant, STEM background (graduate degree), top 20 undergrad. Would applying in this cycle, with the February LSAT put me at a disadvantage?
TIA for all your advice!

Well, you aren't a splitter without an LSAT, so it's hard to say how much it would affect your cycle. But generally, yes. February LSAT scores come so late in the cycle that they put you at a significant disadvantage.

That doesn't mean you shouldn't take the test in February. Just hold the score for next cycle, and that also gives you more opportunities to retake if you're not happy with your numbers.

A Feb LSAT is too late, splitter or not, unless you are applying the following september (I did just that)

Waaaaay too late. Even if you do get in somewhere, scholarship money will be nonexistent. Wait until next cycle!
