So my freshman year of college I was reported for an Academic misconduct situation. I received a warning and had to go to a seminar regarding this situation and had no additional penalties or punishments. I was not put on academic probation, suspended, or expelled from school. Here's the situation....

SO I was assigned a group research paper which included like 6 members. Each person had their own paragraph in this like 10 page paper. The professor said that stuff was misquoted and not cited right. My group was accuse of plagiarism. The part was in my paragraph I did not use the right quotes and did not cite the information right. I'm going to write an Addendum for-sure, but I wanted to know my chances of really getting in... HELP PLEASE....ANY ADVISE???? I am now an ALUMNI hoping to be a Lawyer. Sucks that one thing in your life can stop you from moving mountains..ADVISE???

No one gets officially reprimanded without messing up big time. I doubt misqouting would result in that. A general lack of quoting would. Own up to what you did, and how you've grown from this. Although it seems you still haven't, because you want to blame your group.

Please write an addendum that says, "If Hillary Clinton can get away with her emails, I should get away with this." Nothing else, just that sentence.

I think doing that will make sure that I never cross paths with you in the future, and I think I would enjoy that.

Thanks, for the advise. The Hillary Clinton thing was a joke! But just gettting a warning from the university does it say anything to the admission committee??? I took a seminar hosted by the unviersity to know how to quote and cite things correctly. Like in MPA and APA format. Freshman year I was clueless..I'm going to get a letter from the dean stating the facts and how I wasn't put on academic probation, suspended, or expelled!!! Just a warning! I do feel bad about it I am remorseful of the situation it just happened 4 years ago and I almost forgot about it.

Don't worry about something you can't change. Just be transparent and honest in your addendum. Hope for the best.
