Top Law Schools

I'm in college now and I want to be a lawyer later on in life. I'm putting off applying while in undergrad because I'm poor and already a little in debt.

I'm completing a BS in Computer Science and BA in English. English is for personal enrichment and the Comp Sci is so I'm employable.

My job options are something like Software Developer, Web Developer, or Computer Systems Analyst. I'm not passionate about any of these. It's just that they're flexable and well-paying jobs that are available.

Well, my question for you guys is this. What should I do to prepare myself so that I'm in shape to apply to law school later? Are there certain jobs I should look at and certain ones I should avoid (or does that not matter at all). Where should I involve myself outside of school and work?

And finally, who should I look towards as a recommendation letter writer? Should I look toward professors now and keep their letters on file for several years?

Also, do NOT give yourself a set date for taking your LSAT. Keep studying, and only take it after you're already consistently scoring at least 3-5 points higher than a score you would be happy with. Be patient with your studying process. You're quite lucky you stumbled upon here so early in your admissions process, poke around these forums and you'll learn a lot more and better prepare your applications. Play your cards right, and with a high GPA and LSAT, you can get into a great school.
