Dropping a class (non-punitive withdrawal) in same term of application?

Post by xtremenite » Tue Nov 08, 2016 5:13 pm

Hi all, I'm planning on applying in December as soon as I get my December LSAT score. I'm also thinking of dropping a class. My school's policy with regards to mid-semester course withdrawal is to erase ever having taken the class from all external transcripts, so it won't affect my GPA and should not be punitive in any way.

I know I'm probably safe in doing this, but does anyone know if there are any risks at all in doing this?

I think the only time this is bad is if there's a clear pattern on your transcript of it or something (I know my school puts a W on at this point of the semester, so it would be like if you had one every semester), otherwise you're good.
