LSAC Forum Value?

Hello guys,

What is the value, if any, of going to the Boston LSAC forum? I have already applied to schools so I am not interested in fee waivers. Will the person who you talk to at the forum take note if you tell them you have applied and it is your top choice? Seems unlikely and I don't want to waste my time at the forum if no benefit exists. Please provide any insight! Thanks.

The odds of a chat at that forum turning in to an admissions boost are extremely slim. Also, be aware that a few T14 schools don't even send admissions officials of any stripe to the forum. I remember Harvard and Yale sent some poor 3Ls to shill at one of them.

I'd say if you already have your apps in and the opportunity cost is too high for the free food, don't bother.

I went to the DC one over the summer, and it wasn't helpful for T14s (except to collect a fee waiver from UVA). The admissions reps from other schools were pretty friendly and super eager to keep in touch, and I developed a good rapport with some of the people from my safeties. Showing interest couldn't hurt, but you won't really be missing anything by not going.
