Some exciting news from my team at Law School Transparency. Today, we unveiled a brand new website: https://www.lstreports.com/

Here's the big picture:

1) Your account username (or email) and password are the same
2) Every part of the site received a makeover. The site is mobile-friendly now.
3) There's a lot more data than before, and it's better organized and easier to access.
4) We've added a premium subscription called LST Pro.

The last bit is what I'm most excited about. There are currently three parts to LST Pro: https://www.lstreports.com/pro/

1) The Ultimate LSAT Guide. We partnered with PowerScore Test Prep to create this web book. It's a great place for 0Ls to start.
2) Legal Career Compass. This will help you decide what types of practice and practice settings are a good match for your personality and strengths. The Right Profile built this system using the algorithms relied upon by many professional sports teams. For example, it's why Johnny Manziel dropped as far as he did in the draft. It's also why the Patriots chose Brady.
3) LST Wizard. This is the star of the show in my opinion. (I would say that -- it's my baby.) This takes your inputs and creates a ranking specific to your career ambitions. It also tells you your admissions chances, anticipated scholarship, and more.

In the very near future, we will announce a set of discounts to other services (consulting, test prep, 1L prep, etc). We're still negotiating for our users.

Silly question! Did the way you calculate employment scores change? I had taken notes on what I think were employment scores for my top schools a few weeks ago, and the ones that currently show up are lower than what I have written down. I.e., I have written down that NYU had an employment score of 93.6% and UVA of 92.6%, and now they're listed as 87.4% and 84.5% respectively. I believe I was looking at the 2015 numbers and overall employment scores both times, but it's possible with the new layout I'm missing something--any insight to offer on this/where I'm going wrong? For what it's worth, I also took notes on public service scores, and those haven't seemed to change. Thank you for the clarification and for all the work you do--LST has been an invaluable resource to me!

Turns out (surprise, surprise), that despite the extra scrutiny, some (although not all) law schools are still probably lying about their placement statistics.

I was sort of wondering whether this report would cause a number of schools that didn't yet get busted to "adjust" a few numbers here and there.

I dunno, it seems to be pretty universal, which makes me think it wasn't an adjustment to just a few schools.

Yes we changed it slightly -- sorry for not getting back to you until now. I haven't been on TLS in ages. Going to be making a greater effort to do so now. We're also going to update our definitions page very soon to explain the changes.

But what happened, essentially, is that we wanted to ensure accurate comparisons could be made over the years. With the ABA making above-the-line changes to who counts as "Bar Required" we had to make some slight adjustments. It is systematic, not individual.
