Law School Resume Format/template?

Post by LionKillerBJJ » Wed Sep 28, 2016 4:05 pm

I've used the search function with no results. Hopefully someone can help me with writing out my resume. Apparently the usual JOB Resume with objectives and other sections is not appropriate for law school.

I also wanted to ask about employment and education. We are only including post secondary schools, and do jobs I held in my late teens and early twenties count? Worth mentioning? Besides an internship at a state senator's office my jobs were all retail.

Education first - stop at College, then Work Experience - jobs pre-law school aren't listed unless they're solid WE that you think would help you legally. After that, If you have room, list pro bono experience, nonlegal skills (languages/patent bar eligibility), and interests.

All items are reverse chronological, always list your LS GPA (down to 3.0 is the rule of thumb that I've heard), and don't fuck with your margins much at all.

And definitely keep it to only 1 page.
