Does anyone know which schools guarantee merit aid if accepted under an Early Decision/Action program? I know Northwestern guarantees $150,000 and Emory guarantees a minimum of about $40,000. I'm curious what other schools have similar offers.

USC guarantees at least half scholarship if accepted through ED. I think Boston guarantees a full ride through one of their programs.

GW has a binding pesidential scholarship if you ED, but it's a different consideration than the regular ED, i believe.

So this may be a really dumb question but I've searched online and I find nothing.
What happens for an ED thats binding if you've been admitted to other schools and want to back out of the ED. What is technically binding you their, how is this enforced?

the school you ED'd lets lsac/aba/some regulatory agency know and your apps are all withdrawn. applying and getting in ED means you're going there if you get in, or no where that year

Don't ED unless you absolutely want to go there. Or if your app is already out yet hasn't been decided on, contact the school immediately and have them move your app into the RD pile.
