2.99 GPA and LSAT 175 Applying to T14

Just graduated in May with 2.99 from Columbia. I have been practicing with Prep Tests for months, and I am currently scoring comfortably between 173 and 175. But I am registered for the December LSAT. It will be too late to apply under Early Decision program; by the time I complete my application it will be late December/early January.
What are my chances of getting into Columbia or NYU?

Get your LSAT score first, because (especially for Columbia) a 173 is different from a 175. You don't have an actual score, so no one can tell you your chances.
But as a potential splitter, the late app is going to hurt your chances.

Might want to consider applying early/first day next year; the wait won't kill you

Nobody knows your odds but they'll be better if you apply next year. Having said that, if you actually get a 175 in December, there will be a lot of schools that will happily accept you. Maybe CLS/NYU. But maybe not.

1) first get an actual LSAT score. It doesn't matter what you get on practice tests. What matters is the real one. And unfortunately that can come down to a lot of luck, especially when you're aiming to only get 6 wrong.
2) you might want to wait until next year to apply since you'll get a slight advantage in applying early. Plus you'll have more work experience by then
