Unsolicited Fee Waivers 2017
Been seeing this a lot on here so I figured it would be helpful to get a thread going of where people have received unsolicited fee waivers from, when they got them, and what their numbers were. The only top 20 schools I have are:
GULC- July 2016
Wash U St. Louis- July 2016
Duke 10 day Priority with fee waiver- August 2016
My numbers are 3.7, 170, URM

Does anyone know if you still can get unsolicited fee waivers when applying a second cycle? I remember last year I received a few, but this year nothing so far.

I received one from almost every T20/14 last cycle but don't have anything yet.

I also have GULC and WashU (WashU came with compensation to visit which was nice)
For those of you who applied last cycle--from what I've seen you need to update your application year on LSAC and then should get fee waivers, but most fee waivers don't go out until September I believe!

So far I have a solicited waiver from UVA and an unsolicited from Pitt sooo... Things are going pretty well
Kinda sad I haven't seen anything from GULC or WashU yet, I think I have updated my LSAC

I have not received any unsolicited fee waivers yet, but I have received a few solicited waivers. My numbers are 173 / 3.08 and I've asked and received waivers from:
- Lewis and Clark
- Virginia
- USC
- UCLA
- George Washington
- UC Davis
- Washington University
I was also told to check back in October at the University of Washington, and to check back in mid-September for Boston University and Boston College.
I've only been denied at Georgetown so far.

Re: Unsolicited Fee Waivers 2017
title says unsolicited but I'm gonna assume this is gonna be treated as a general fee waiver thread:
sent requests to UVA, UMich, WUSTL, GULC, Chicago, UCLA, NYU, Columbia, Northwestern, and Penn. got fee waivers from all but Columbia last cycle so hoping I get them again.

if you are reapplying make sure you change your CRS info to make so that it says that your "expected law school enrollment year" is 2017, not 2016. it doesn't change by itself!

successfully solicited from: UVA, WUSTL, NU (free for everyone)
told only through CRS: Penn, UChi, Columbia, Mich
NYU said they aren't taking requests right now or something like that.

What do you mean "told only through CRS?" A hidden waiver?proteinshake wrote:successfully solicited from: UVA, WUSTL, NU (free for everyone)

Do you guys include your stats in emails soliciting waivers? I'm going to send one to UVA and am wondering what the protocol is.
