Resume formatting question

Post by brinicolec » Fri Aug 12, 2016 2:41 am

So, I've worked on/off since I was in HS (retail and waitressing, basically) and also was in organizations throughout college. How do you all recommend formatting this? Work experience then organizations?

In general, work experience on your resume should be reserved for paying jobs, not voluntary org work in school or elsewhere. That sort of stuff goes under a different section. And don't feel compelled to put everything on there; a standard resume like what you're submitting shouldn't be too much over a page.

Wait until you're a law professor to have a 10-page CV with everything you've ever done written out long-form.
