My school sends transcripts via Fedex - but they don't send to PO boxes?

Post by Mr. Momo » Wed Aug 03, 2016 6:13 pm

On my school's transcript request website, they allow students to search up institutions that that they want transcripts to be sent to. The first issue I ran into is that while LSAC is in their database, the address listed is missing the PO Box. So instead of this:

Law School Admission Council
662 Penn Street
PO BOX 2000-M
Newtown PA 18940-0993

They have this instead:

Law School Admission Council
662 Penn Street
Newtown PA 18940-0993

Not only that, they send via Fedex which does not send to PO Boxes. Anyone have any ideas if this is an okay address?

I highly doubt you're the first person from your school who has had to send transcript to LSAC. Contact your registrar's office and see how they have handled this issue for their students. I would not recommend sending the transcript to that address without the PO box without talking to someone about it first.

I've ran into this issue before. If you have the school write the address as:

LSAC
Street address #2000M
City, State, Zip

the post office will accept it. You may have to just fax or mail in your request to the school so they have the correct address.

Thanks for the replies! Thankfully I didn't request it online. Turns out I must turn in the LOR form.
