Top Law Schools

Hi everyone,

I have 4 years of WE but did get a couple of LORs from my professors back when I was a senior. Should I not use these? I will be supplementing these with 1-2 recent LORs from work, but I know that schools generally prefer letters from professors. How do people with substantial WE generally deal with LORs (not sure how I get academic LORs when I've been out of school of 4 years)?

I used LORs that were 4 years old when I applied. My cycle went exactly how you'd expect with my numbers. I didn't even bother supplementing them with employer recs.

I used 3 year old ones. Cycle went fine - didn't matter at all

I had one more quick question -

For my professional rec, I'm trying to decide between my direct supervisor or a colleague ranked higher than me (who supported my work but didn't directly manage me). The latter would write an extremely positive letter while the former would write a pretty conventional, run-of-the-mill letter. Would it be OK to go with someone who wasn't my direct supervisor?
